Furry Kids Come Out to Play = Sabbatical

Hello MY Darlings!

Sabbatical Time
I have been on a sabbatical (did someone say 'bats' lol) of sorts and so has Sr. Knight. We found a wonderful oasis right in the middle of downtown Toronto, steps from our mystical kingdom.  I simply had to share this with you.

Humans know a lot about benefits of sabbatical leave. Well, you know cats do this daily....drifting in an out of their worlds to communicate with their human counterparts LOL!  We do not need permission or appointment for we are 'free spirits'.  They seem to think they 'thought it up'....far from it
it has been part of our culture for eons!  Ancient stories of my ancestors, lounging in Savanna Plain after a good feed!

Savanna is an enormous plain with hills and forests. It has different names in the separate parts of the globe from the equator to tropics.(My mom never taught me how to run up this tree, I guess I'd have to if Sr. Sammy was chasing - now there is a taught)!! LOL

Savanna is an enormous plain between moisture equator forests and tropical deserts. The biggest savannas are in Africa. It is 40% from it. The grass in savanna grows 2-3 meters up and forests are thin. There are parts where trees are scarce. The most enormous tree is baobab that leaves are fallen down. Adansonia is a genus of eight species of tree, six native to Madagascar, one native to mainland Africa and the Arabian Peninsula and one to Australia. The mainland African species also occurs on Madagascar, but it is not a native of that island.

Sabbatical or a sabbatical (from Latin sabbaticus, from Greek sabbatikos, from Hebrew shabbat, i.e., Sabbath, literally a "ceasing") is a rest from work, or a hiatus, often lasting from two months to a year. The concept of sabbatical has a source in shmita, described several places in the Bible (Leviticus 25, for example, where there is a commandment to desist from working the fields in the seventh year). In the strict sense, therefore, sabbatical lasts a year. For the television show, see Sabbatical (TV series)

In recent posts, I meowed a lot about the issues of room mates and there often challenging relationships.  Relationships take work, a little patience and cat optics.
Sabbatical dreams

Relaxing and allowing for the growth of play time and simply chasing mice and birds.
Oh a delicious mouse memory of the Roof Garden

Queen Diva - shows how it's done

Of course room mates need space, and besides what better place to explore the outer reaches of 'secret garden' but on a urban roof garden ...filled with delicious grasses for the picking!

Here's a ditty I just made up (to the tune of Ding Ding Ding Went the Trolly):
"Splat, splat go the flies, ding, ding, ding go the mice, we don't care what we are doing cause we're just having fun".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0odXnKhKBxQ
It doesn't get better than THIS!

Sometimes we get visiting 'Diva's' from other United Kingdoms dropping in for tea.

Well, my darlings at the end of the day, it's all about catching mice, eating green and enjoying....the right purrspective.

I have all I need!
Do visit and comment on the blog, we love to have you visit again on the roof garden......

Ciao for now.....................
